Interactive Paintings/installations
These illuminated, interactive paintings are made with wax on glass or plexiglas. Leveraging the translucent quality of wax, backlighting reveals a completely different image. Lights fluctuate between the two states, triggered by a motion sensor when the viewer approaches. At first glance, it appears to be a traditional painting, but as the viewer engages, they change, becoming many things at once, depending on the viewer’s experience.
NOTE: These paintings have been and can be presented as wall-pieces with a shallow lighbox or in complex installations.
