As I explore an idea, the work finds expression in many different forms. Consistent across my entire body of work are — Formally: layers, transparency, materiality, texture, and color; Conceptually: perception — how our physical ability to perceive affects what we see and know; engagement — how our participation changes our understanding; and conception — how what we think we know is shaped by our frames of reference and experience; complexity and context.

So, while these series are all extremely different from each other, they all explore epistemology and ontology, using form and content to create visceral experiences to help the viewer notice their noticing either in general or in the context of a particular subject and to remind us that there is always more to know.
